- Feldman, Rabbi Aharon. The Juggler and the King. An exposition of several perushim of the Gra on certain Talmudic midrashim. Plumbs the depths of the human spirit, and contrasts the Jewish and Greek/Roman approaches to spirituality.
- Hirsch, Rabbi Samson Raphael. Collected Writings, Volume VIII. Feldheim. Includes several essays incorporating ideas of Torah Im Derech Eretz. See especially "The Jew and his time" and "חזק ונתחזק."
- Hirsch, Rabbi Samson Raphael. The Nineteen Letters. Feldheim. A first-stop overview of the world and Yisrael's place in it.
- Tatz, Rabbi Akiva. Letters to a Buddhist Jew. Targum. The modern mystic's answer to The Nineteen Letters.
Chinuch
- Hirsch, Rabbi Samson Raphael. Collected Writings, Volume VII. Feldheim. A must-read for any parent, particularly "On the collaboration between home and school," "On the role of education in the first years of a child's life," "A classic principle of Jewish education," "והגדת לבנך," "The respect we owe our children," and "Psalm 8 as an educational text."
- Wolbe, Rabbi Shlomo. Planting and Building: Raising a Jewish Child. Feldheim.

- Slifkin, Rabbi Natan. The Science of Torah or Challenge of Creation. Yashar. Highly controversial; ask your mentor.
